The School of Distance Education, formerly known as the ‘Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education’, University of Calicut, started functioning in the Academic year 1981-82.Now it is one of the major Departments of the university. It has also emerged as a major distance education provider not only in Kerala but also in other parts of India and Abroad.
SDE is making all its effort to extend its support to reach into the unreach and has been keen in providing facilities in Distance mode for the benefit of the deprived sections of the society.
