The Board of Intermediate & Secondary education was established in 1989 to conduct the SSC and HSSC FOR students of DERA GHAZI KHAN DIVISION .This division comprises of four districts wich are DG,KHAN, MUZAFAR GARH,LAYYA,RAJANPUR.The land measuring of 103 kanals and 18 marlas was purchased in two phases in1991 & 1994 respectively for the construction of Board Complex.one year agreement with PEPCA(PVT) limited ,lahore was signed on 01-03-1997 for this purpose .The said firm prepared the line plan ,layout plan and rough cost estimate of Board Complex costin to 76.16 millions but the project could not be executed till 2001.
The BISE, D.G.Khan was established in 1989 for the conduction of examination at Matric and Intermediate level in the districts of D.G.Khan, Layyah, Muzaffar Garh and Rajanpur. Since its inception, offices were set up in a portion of Govt. Comprehensive School, D.G.Khan as well as in the rented buildings. Board’s authorities purchased a piece of land measuring 104 Kanals for Board campus in two phases in 1992 and 1994 at Multan road, D.G.Khan.
