Board of intermediate and Secondary Education, Faisalabad was established on 1988. It is now being governed under the Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976.

There are 15 members on the Board of Governors including the Chairman. Few members are ex-officer and others are nominated as per provisions of the Act.
